The IPD Multinational Index Spreadsheet combines all the information contained within the numerous national IPD index publications and provides performance series at a sector level. The all property and sector indices are based on 22 of IPD's country indices and shown in local currency. The spreadsheet includes our composite Pan-European and Global Index series, where countries are re-weighted to reflect the value of the investment market in each country. The spreadsheet includes:

Index data:

• a master sheet containing all data from all index publications at a sector level
• a glossary explaining the measures shown in the master sheet.

Pan-European performance data:

• Pan-European all property total returns from 2001. Returns are split into their income and capital components
• corresponding Pan-European performance series for the retail, office and residential sectors
• total returns expressed in all major currencies
• IPD estimates of the capital value of the property investment market in each European country at the end of 2007, with a breakdown into the main sectors National GDP figures are also included to put the estimates of the investment market in perspective
• all IPD’s performance series at the national and sector level from 1995 onwards, or the start of the IPD series
• technical note on the construction of the indices

Yield data:

• yields across countries, allowing comparison of net and gross income yields and the impact of operating costs across different markets at a sector level
