IPD Multinational Index Spreadsheet

The IPD Multinational Index Spreadsheet is a unique database of global, regional, country and major sector property performance dating back to the 1980’s. Use this tool to assess your portfolio strategy and compare property sector performance across the globe. For example: you can work with the data to achieve a consistent yield comparison across all indices for every major sector to carry out a cross section analysis by country or region.

What’s new for 2012:

  • Three new measures: Total Expenditure, Total Receipts and Net Investment;
  • Regional data for five new regions;
  • Two new countries: Hungary and New Zealand;
  • All data is available in one exportable table; and
  • Use the in-built MS Excel PivotTable to produce multiple data combinations.

As well as including data from across the world for the nine international regions, in the 25 countries that IPD covers, the spreadsheet has a number of advantages:

  • Over 200 annual international indices;
  • Half a million data points;
  • Data is produced at four different time frequencies;
  • Data is available in local currencies and is comparable in four major denominations: the Euro, Japanese Yen, US Dollar and British Sterling; and
  • Global investable market size

The Multinational Index Spreadsheet is also easy to use. Benefits include:

  • All data is available in one location and is flexible enough to be customised to the user’s needs;
  • Comparing data series from a common start date;
  • Selecting and building bespoke charts based on one set of data;
  • Comparison across all frequencies through an inbuilt pivot table; and
  • Data is also alternatively provided in a traditional format if a user prefers this format.

There is also a glossary explaining the measures shown in the master sheet.
