The 2011 IPD Pan-European Annual Property Index results were announced online at a live webinar on Wednesday 18th April 2012. Chaired by IPD Co-Founder Dr Ian Cullen, the results webinar was sponsored by BNP Paribas Real Estate, Jones Lang LaSalle and Institutional Real Estate, Inc.

As in previous years IPD Senior Director Peter Hobbs delivered the results and was joined by a panel of industry luminaries, including:

• Eugène Agossou-Voyèmè from BNP Paribas Real Estate;
• Frances Ketteringham from Jones Lang LaSalle; and
• Nigel Roberts from Hermes.

Highlights of the webinar results were:

• A look at last year’s expectations for 2011;
• The 2011 total return and a comparison to the previous ten years;
• The 2011 total return by major currency and a ten year comparison;
• The 2011 variance between cities and countries; and
• The 2011 total returns by sector and location.

The webinar was interactive and included four polls conducted with the audience, as well as questions for the panel and a panel discussion on related European issues. The Panelists discussion included capital flows, the fundamentals and in which markets most value could now be achieved.
