The IPD methods of calculation and analysis are widely accepted as industry standard across the most mature property investment markets around the world. These methods are continually being appraised and refined in close cooperation with the industry.
We have meticulous data collection and checking standards, and use clearly defined data definitions. This ensures consistency through our databases and allows comparisons across asset classes and national boundaries. Below is a summary of the IPD market data methodology.
