IPD Board Directors

Rupert Nabarro, OBE, Chairman and Co-founder
Rupert co-founded the IPD Group in 1985 with the aim of providing an authoritative commercial property index for the UK. Since this time he has successfully expanded the business across investment benchmarking, income management and occupier research, conferences and training. Rupert was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List 2007, is an Honorary Fellow of RICS and a Life Fellow of the Society of Property Researchers.

Laurent Ternisien Group Managing Director
Laurent was appointed IPD’s Group Managing Director in 2005 after having been
responsible for the company’s operations in France. He began his career with
Grecam and joined IPD in 1999 as Managing Director of IPD France to develop the
business in Southern Europe. Laurent is a founding member of AREIM, the French
Society of Property Researchers.

Michael Brodtman, Non-executive Michael became an IPD Group non-executive director in 2006 and is currently Executive Director and Head of Valuation for CB Richard Ellis. He joined their investment department in 1981 and assumed responsibility for thevaluation department in 1995. He is a member of CBRE’s UK Executive Board, RICS Global Valuation Board, Bank of England Property Forum, and sits on the Policy Committee of the British Property Federation.

Dr Ian Cullen, Ian co-founded the IPD Group in 1985 and now provides support on all technical aspectsof client information services, IPD indices and related performance measures. He chairs IPD’s UK business and supervises overall quality control and risk management. Ian is an Honorary Fellow of RICS, a Life Fellow of the Society of Property Researchers, and a member of the IPF and OSCRE management boards.

Prof. dr Piet Eichholtz, Non-executive
Piet became an IPD Group non-executive director in 2008 and is a Professor of Real
Estate Finance and chair of the Finance Department at Maastricht University,
Netherlands. Piet is a member of the RO Group advisory board, the Investment
Committee of Loyalis and the Housing Scenario Group of Bouwfonds.

Alasdair Evans Alasdair joined the IPD Group in October 2010 as Group Finance Director, having served as a non-executive director of the Company since 2009. Prior to this he was Chief Operating Officer of Hermes Real Estate, director of Argent, MEPC and X-Leisure, and Finance Director of Trillium. Alasdair is Chairman of INREV’s Corporate Governance Committee.

Tom Hempenstall, Non-executive
Tom became an IPD Group non-executive director in 2007 and is chairman of the Espresso Group, a privately owned business providing online services to the education sector. Prior to this Tom was chief executive of Metal Bulletin until its acquisition by
Euromoney in 2006. He is a former senior independent director of Framlington
Innovative Growth Trust, and was chairman of the Directory Publishers Association.

Dr Peter Hobbs, Dr Peter Hobbs, Group Business Development Director
Peter joined the IPD Group in September 2010 as Senior Director of Group Business
Development with a focus on developing IPD’s commercial strategy. Prior to this,
he was Managing Director and Global Head of Research for RREEF. Peter, who
received his doctorate from the University of Reading, is a member of the RICS
and a Council Member of ULI Europe.

Sir Stuart Lipton, Non-executive
Stuart became an IPD Group non-executive director in 2009 and is Deputy Chairman of Chelsfield Partners. As one of the most progressive property developers in London since the late 1960s, he founded Stanhope plc and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment. Stuart is an honorary fellow at Imperial College and the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Dr Paul McNamara OBE, Non-executive
Paul became an IPD Group non-executive director in 2001 and is currently Head of
Property Research with PRUPIM. He was Chairman of the Investment Property
Forum in 2005/06, and is an Honorary Fellow and past Chairman of the UK Society
of Property Researchers. In 2003 he received the OBE for services to the property
industry in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
