IPD in Sweden
|
|
In 1997 IPD established a service in Sweden in conjunction with Svenskt Fastighetsindex. The Sweden Annual Property Index was launched the same year to offer a property performance measurement and portfolio analysis service for institutional real estate investors in Sweden. In 2003, IPD and Svenskt Fastighetsindex launched a service for municipal and private residential companies wishing to benchmark their performance and receive a more detailed income and cost analysis.
The IPD Sweden Annual Property Index return series starts in 1984 and covers more than 1,100 properties with a market value exceeding 225bn SEK at the end of 2010. The IPD Sweden Residential Index measures the performance of residential properties with 160,000 apartments and a total market value of 139bn SEK at the end of 2010. In addition to benchmarking, portfolio analysis and free headline figures, IPD provides detailed market information for those with an interest in investing in the Swedish property market by way of the Property Digest.
